Bannock Pizza

After making bannock yesterday, I decided on pizza for lunch. Quite often I use pitas as easy pizza crust (and I love the crunchy crust I get from a thin pita bread!), but fresh bannock was calling my name.

Bannock is so versatile, it makes an excellent pizza crust. It has great flavor and it can be crisped up as much as you like.

I cut the bannock ‘buns’ in half and spread some pizza sauce on them. I had some pizza sauce already mixed up in the fridge.

I used onion, yellow & red bell peppers, mushrooms, and ham, topped this off with mozzarella cheese, pepper, greens mix powder, garlic powder, and pepper seeds. But of course, use your favorite toppings.

I always cut the toppings to bite size or smaller; there is nothing like having a long piece of scorching hot food slide off the pizza onto your face to help you come up with ideas like that! (Why don’t they do this at restaurants?)

I baked these at 425F for 8 minutes, then I turned on the broiler for 1 minute.

How do they look?
