Carrot Sourdough, Roasted Chicken, and Fried Apple Sandwich
Unforgettable Sandwich Coming Up!
I hope the pictures will speak for themselves; looking them over for editing had me really beginning to miss that sandwich.:)
A few of my deep fried apple slices were a bit on the thicker side, and rather than crisping them up to crumble over ice cream, frying the thicker slices brought out all the sweet warmed up yumminess of a fried apple while leaving them soft and chewable.
I sliced (with a surprising rare straight cut!) into my fresh baked mixed-flour, garlic & carrot sourdough bread.
The texture is perfect for a sandwich and the rye flour combined with shredded carrot lent this loaf a rich savory flavor. The carrot bread boasts an impressive orange color.
Add to these the sharp tanginess of mustard and creamy mellowness of mozzarella and you’ve got the makings of a really good sandwich.
Mayonnaise, sliced roasted chicken breast, thinly sliced onion, cucumber, tomato, red leaf lettuce and fresh grated mixed peppercorns tied it all together into an unforgettable combination.

If only I’d added bacon…
