Eaglet Lake

I gravitate toward the backroads and waterways wherever I go, it is where I feel most at home. The fresh air and beautiful scenery beats the city hustle and bustle hands down.

Every chance I get, I head out to remote areas and forest service roads; exploring, camping, photographing, foraging, or fishing.:)

I took a few shots on a recent excursion to Eaglet Lake and afterwards spent the day driving through the area and checking out the tiny local towns.

Eaglet Lake is 25 miles north-east of Prince George in the Fraser-Fort George Regional District.

Eaglet Lake

Eaglet Lake is stocked with Rainbow Trout and also hosts Burbot, but I didn’t have my rod with me. I have never caught a Burbot, I may have to go back and give it a try. Beautiful fish, they look like a mix between a catfish and an eel.

I hear Eaglet Lake isn’t the most popular lake for fishing, but I did get a few lovely pictures of the lake and the leaves changing color for fall, I thought I’d share with you.

Have you ever been to Eaglet Lake? Are you more at home in remote and rural areas, suburbs, or in the city?
