Mushroom Gallery
I love the look of all the different mushrooms I come across and have taken so many pictures I thought I’d share them with you.
(I don’t recommend eating any foraged foods unless you are 100% certain of what you have. Use field guides specific to your area, and cross check for look alikes.
I am no fungus expert and a lot of these are a complete mystery to me.
If you can identify any of them and leave me a comment, I’d love to update this gallery series with proper names!
Enjoy!

I enjoy mushroom season. I love finding great mushrooms. My favorite is the king bolete.

I haven’t ventured into mushroom hunting too far as of yet. The devil is in the details with identifying the differences between what is edible or not, but I would love to learn more about it one day.
So far, I’ve collected a few for food or tea – shaggy mane, chantrelle, morels, artists conk and chaga. Chantrelle is abundant in my neck of the woods (so to speak:)) and so tasty.
I had to look up the king bolete, it’s a real monster! I’ll keep an eye out this fall.:) How would you normally prepare it?
