Did you know you can easily make brown sugar at home? And it is cheaper than store bought!
Make as much or as little as you need, when you need it.
Molasses is a by-product of processing sugar cane or sugar beets into sugar. So really, you’re just putting it back in!;) You know, after they process it into a new thing…
Today, I’m just making 1 cup of brown sugar for my Pineapple Upside Down Cake. Left over sugar can be stored the same way you would if you’d bought it at the store.
Drizzle in the molasses, I used 1/2 a tablespoon worth…
Start mixing it in, any lumpy areas of molasses will mix in, just keep working at it. It only takes a minute or two.
…and voilĂ , you’ve got brown sugar!
