This is a great way to use up some of your unfed sourdough starter before feedings. It will give the sourdough flavor but unless it’s fed and active it may not help the bread rise enough. Use yeast as well if the starter is inactive.

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup warm water (80 degrees)
  • 1/2- 1 cup sourdough starter
  • 2 2/3 cups bread flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp dry active yeast

Method

Step 1

Add all ingredients to machine in order given, or as suggested by manufacturer.

Step 2

Use white bread setting.
