Peanut Butter Cookies

Easy to make peanut butter cookies that are perfect for dipping in milk.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup nuts, dried fruit, m&ms, quick oats, or chocolate chips (optional)
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375F. Cream peanut butter, butter, and sugars together.
Step 2
Beat in egg.
Step 3
Mix in dry ingredients.
Step 4
Add vanilla and optional ingredients (if using).
Step 5
Roll dough into 1" balls. Space evenly on lightly greased baking sheets, 12 per sheet.
Step 6
Use a fork dipped in flour or sugar to gently press cookie tops with a cross-hatched pattern.
Step 7
Bake 8 - 10 minutes.
Step 8
Let cool on baking sheet for 1 minute before transferring to wire rack.

I love peanut butter cookies. They are almost as good as (and sometimes better than) chocolate chip cookies. I love how quick and easy this recipe looks as I am definitely a “beginner.”

I agree – but why not have 2 in 1 and add chocolate chips! This is a great recipe if you are a beginner, give it a try.:)

Peanut Butter cookies is where it’s at!!! I love them! If I could eat only P.B. cookies all day…I would! Haven’t had the recipe in a long time…thanks for that!!!
