Easy to make peanut butter cookies that are perfect for dipping in milk.
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup nuts, dried fruit, m&ms, quick oats, or chocolate chips (optional)
Preheat oven to 375F. Cream peanut butter, butter, and sugars together.
Beat in egg.
Mix in dry ingredients.
Add vanilla and optional ingredients (if using).
Roll dough into 1" balls. Space evenly on lightly greased baking sheets, 12 per sheet.
Use a fork dipped in flour or sugar to gently press cookie tops with a cross-hatched pattern.
Bake 8 - 10 minutes.
Let cool on baking sheet for 1 minute before transferring to wire rack.
