Serving Suggestion: Smoked Salmon Cowboy Candy Wraps
Love the fermenting/pickling/canning craze but have no idea how to incorporate these foods into your daily meals?
Today’s Serving Suggestion: Cowboy Candy
What to Make with Cowboy Candy
So there I was – staring down a couple dozen jars of candied jalapeƱos in the pantry and wondering how on earth I’d use them all! I do indeed love them straight from the jar, but wasn’t planning on finishing quite so many that way!
I began experimenting and have since discovered a dozen ways to enjoy them.
If you’re looking for ways to use your batch of cowboy candy, you may be interested in this idea for a tasty snack or appetizer. They are delicious and make a great presentation! And… if you have family members who aren’t completely convinced that candied jalapeƱos are a great snack straight from the jar, this really cuts down on the heat ratio.
These 4 ingredient appetizers are so simple to prepare, and taste as impressive as they look. They are perfect for entertaining!
Smoked Salmon Cowboy Candy Wraps
Chop up some Cowboy Candy and Olives (I used a mixed variety of olives) and mix into Cream Cheese.
Store in the fridge until you’re ready to use, or prepare your salmon wraps immediately. I let the flavors mingle in the fridge for a couple hours first.
Scoop spoonfuls of the cream cheese mixture onto thin slices of Smoked Salmon and roll them up. Use a sharp knife to slice into grabbable bite size pieces if desired.
Top with fresh cracked black pepper and serve.
