Ultimate Cash Giveaway – April 2015
Spring has definitely sprung! We’ve been having amazing hot sunny days here in the Columbia Valley this past week, I have a few seedlings waiting for transplanting and am looking forward to getting the remaining seeds in the ground! I can’t wait to get into the garden, and of course to share the ideas and pictures with all of you.
This was meant to happen this past weekend, but we are again having issues with the pump (from our well) losing it’s prime. So, until water is again free flowing, the garden is on pause.:\ At least we didn’t have any delicate seedlings in need of watering in the 20 degree heat yet!
Kevin got a camera for his birthday recently; so, as a girlfriend perk, I get to use it:D.
In fact, it’s kind of a necessity so that I can teach him how it works LOL.
Wow, I need to invest in one of these for myself! What a difference!! All these pictures were taken with a 20 MP Sony Cybershot
So, like the nature lover that I am, I tweaked some camera settings and headed out to wander the acreage. I got a few shots of forageable wildflowers…
…and a few of the wildlife around the yard. We have a large pond full of Canadian Geese, Mallards, and a few others including the occasional visit from across the yard by our resident Eagles.
One of our yard bunnies came out for pictures and I spotted a Starling eating a caterpillar.
I used Ifranview to compress them from around 7 MB to about 300 KB.
I hope I’ll spot one of the eagles with camera in hand soon!
