Wildlife Pets: Frogs

frog

I have been trying to take my weekends off, but I recorded this in my yard around 8pm last night and thought I’d do a quick post just for fun!

The frogs have returned for spring. We have thousands of them! That is one of them in the picture.:)
The singing, especially at night, is pretty impressive.

It is recorded in the dark, so you’ll only get the audio.

No light pollution here!

Enjoy!

he’s cute… after the first hard rain in April the frogs all come out and start what sounds like aliens screaming … they get so loud

Yes! It’s amazing how loud these guys are – but it’s a soothing sound to fall asleep to sometimes. If they suddenly STOP i get worried what is in my yard!

My kids would love to see this; as for myself I have a thing about frogs…they really creep me out! :)

Nothing to worry about.:) They keep to themselves, and sing all day and night lol.

I love the frogs. And, I like the way you cropped the frog photo, it’s well-balanced.

I’m scared of frogs. They’re just frightening to me since I was a kid. One time in secondary school, I had to open a frog for biology lab, it traumatized me for years.

I had to do that too.:) I didn’t realise so many people were afraid of frogs!

I think so too. He’s just a little guy, we have found a few about the size of dinner plates around the pool.

It seems like the older I get, the more I am appreciating nature. To me this is such a peaceful sound. Thank you so much for sharing

I agree it is a peaceful sound – although they can get very loud lol. I’ve gotten used to hearing them and miss them during the winter.:)
