Makes enough icing for 12 cupcakes or small cake.
- 2 tbsps. butter or margarine
- 1 cup icing sugar
- 1/4 tsp. flavoring (vanilla or other extract)
- 1 1/2 tbsps. milk or cream
- Optional: food coloring
Cream butter until soft and add sugar gradually.
Add flavoring and food coloring.
Add milk or cream slowly to reach desired consistency.
