dried pepper seeds

I was already dehydrating vegetable greens, and put these in at the same time.

We’d bought a large mixed bag of bell pepper and pablano peppers and I saved the seeds from them as we used them over a few days.

These are both mild peppers.

I added my small tray of pepper seeds to a 200F degree oven and left the door open slightly to allow moisture to escape.

I shook the tray of mixed seeds regularly to help them dry evenly.

Once they felt completely dehydrated (I believe it was 3 – 4 hours) I removed them and let them cool before storing in a small glass jar (an old spice container or ziplock would work just as well).

These could also be crushed or ground but I like the look of them whole.
The flavor is wonderful and can be added to almost anything.
